Skype said it is working on 3D video calls but still will not introduce this new technology until cameras reach this level .
Vice president of the firm , Mark Gillett said it would be difficult to bring 3D video calls out of Skype laboratory because cameras are unable to capture the 3D view .
" We have seen that a lot of people are buying TV and computer monitors that are able to watch 3D images . " he told the BBC.
" But devices that capture such views are not yet available . With the work we are doing with this kind of technology you need to add some camera to your computer precisely calibrated and run at the correct angle . "
Gillet has confirmed that the Skype technology is " in the lab "
" We know how to make it work and we are checking the capacity of the equipments to support it in order to make a decision when to bring something like that on the market , " he said .
